Marketing Executive City of London, England

Salary: £24000 - £26000 per annum + Bonus 2- 3k

There are currently 40 employees within the conferences division, consisting of five teams: production, marketing, sponsorship, telesales and operations. The marketing team has responsibility for ensuring that promotional opportunities for each conference are maximised and that each marketing campaign is successful, and comprehensively monitored and modified during its course, according to requirements.
*To construct and deliver comprehensive marketing campaigns for approximately 30-40 conferences/events per year, to attract delegates per conference This is to be achieved through, for example:
-Constructing and coordinating direct mailing and email campaigns including targeting data
-Data research and acquisition - acquiring 200 new data contacts for each event
-Speaker liaison and negotiating contra deals through newsletters, reciprocal links, social media, internal contacts etc.
-Arranging advertising - websites, inserts in publications and adverts trade journals
-Website promotion
*To deliver marketing campaigns within set budgets
*To adhere to deadlines, including strategically planning timings for marketing campaigns
*To plan campaigns based on past analysis, new research, producer briefings and speaker advice
*To closely monitor marketing campaigns, identify gaps in data or market, and to rectify problems with campaigns
*To take responsibility for an individual project, i.e. data categorisation, ongoing media partnerships or maintaining subscriptions to journals, magazines, directories
*To liaise with other areas of the business, such as production and sales, to ensure all campaigns are thorough and coordinated
*To upload conference information onto the website
*To liaise with printers, co-ordinate and track mailings
*To source images for brochures from stock photo websites
*To contribute to sales and marketing meetings and produce analysis and reports for the quarterly marketing review meeting
*To help ensure that data is continually maintained, refreshed, contacts are unsubscribed and to respond to correspondence in conferences inbox
*To work in conjunction with the rest of the marketing team to ensure targets are met

Essential skills :
*University degree - 2:2 minimum or equivalent technical qualification
*At least 1 year's work experience in a marketing role
*Experience of data manipulation, analysis and extraction
*Negotiation skills
*Excellent IT skills including high level of competence with Microsoft Office products (Excel in particular) and CRM databases
*Data research skills
Budgetary control/ understanding of costs management

Desirable :
*Experience of direct marketing or relevant marketing qualifications
*Public sector knowledge
*Conferences experience
*Email marketing software experience
*Understanding/ experience of updating websites
*Experience of data(base) management
*Project management experience
*Web analytics and SEO experience
*Previous use of a CRM and campaign commander
