Salary: £24000 - £25500 per annum + bonus

Key Responsibilities

Quality Standards
*Be proactive in dealing with all incoming enquiries to ensure that they are dealt with in an efficient and professional manner.
*Ensure all administration and correspondence is dealt with promptly and accurately.
*Ensure all correspondence relating to an event is filed accurately and passed on to the appropriate Operations Manager.
*Ensure all future sales leads are followed up correctly and in a timely manner.
*Support the on-site Commercial Manager with enquiries with regards to all catering requirements.
*Mailing of marketing material, menus all of which should be followed up proactively.
*Organising & carry out 'show rounds' of the venue to potential clients wherever possible.
*Follow bookings from enquiry to confirmation ensuring all relevant information has been collected and that the function sheets are complete in good time.
*Follow the deposit process and ensure the invoice is paid before the event.
*Proactively seek new business opportunities whereby return on investment can be measured.
*Support marketing initiatives and campaigns that drive business to the Hall.
*To demonstrate a strong knowledge of food and beverages offered and operate with a focus on innovation, up selling and standard awareness.
*Attend and actively participate in regular sales meetings and training sessions.
*Attend client events, promotions, trade exhibitions, client entertainment evenings and sales events as required
*To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management.

*To ensure that you adhere to legal and company requirements in respect of Hygiene, Health & Safety, Employment Law, Food Safety Law for all staff, visitors and customers.
*To report all accidents, breakages, losses, unsafe working conditions and any other irregularities.
*To ensure a standard of personal and general cleanliness and hygiene.
*Work in a safe and tidy manner at all times.
*To strive to continually exceed customer expectations and provide excellent customer care.
*To report and where possible take action about customer or client complaints or compliments.

People Management
*Participate in staff meetings and training as required.
*Attend and actively participate in weekly sales and operational team meetings.
*Meet clients on event days. Liaise throughout the event to ensure it runs smoothly.
*Ensure a prepared follow-up procedure is carried out after an event with the objective to acquire further business.
*Plan, prioritise and manage personal time and productivity between sales and operations.
*Work in partnership with the on-site team and the Commercial Manager maximising revenue.
*To ensure you adhere to the correct standards of dress and appearance as set in the company handbook.
*To ensure you maximise selling opportunities by having full product knowledge of all items available.
*To maintain a happy and helpful manner and attitude throughout your work. Be polite and courteous and help your colleagues.

Financial Contribution
*To grow the business in the venue through maximising uptake and catering spend per head.
*To respond to incoming catering enquiries, follow up on function details and liaise with the on-site team on a daily and weekly basis on outstanding and potential business.
*Gain clear understanding of potential client's requirements to provide accurate and successful catering proposals.
*To maximise food and beverage sales generation through effective implementation of marketing plans.
*Achieve and exceed targets for food and beverage sales, supporting the on-site Commercial Manager.
*Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support and liaison.
*Introduce new clients and business to the venue.
*Analyse and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
*Quarterly forecasting and KPI reports.
*Invoicing when required.
