Client Relationship Manager

Home based

This is a hybrid delegate sales and customer relationship management role which involves telesales, data research, guesting and at-event networking. The role is predominately phone based and is designed to offer more variety than a pure telesales role with a strong emphasis on quality of lead/conversations and relationship building rather than just quantity.

This role is home based and offers possibilities for flexi-working. During the probation period (and beyond at our discretion) the successful candidate should be prepared to spend one day per week working alongside one of the directors. The location for this day will be either in London, Kent or Norfolk - at our discretion (travel expenses will be covered).

The role will be split into three main areas of responsibility:

1.Delegate sales: inbound and warm leads
*Following up and attempting to secure delegate bookings from all individuals who have completed a web-form or contacted us directly expressing interest in our event.
*Following up and attempting to secure delegate bookings from all individuals who have clicked or opened our marketing emails.
*When in conversation, attempting to:
oEstablish feedback on our event to be supplied to the project team
oUp sell the individual onto other relevant events or establish interests they may have which we can explore for future topic generation
oEstablish if they have any colleagues we should also be speaking to. Acquiring their details and/or a referral, and/or booking them as part of a group deal
*Recording all calls and notes on our CRM system in real-time. Ensuring all known details are accurate and completed. Adhering to our tagging and opportunity management rules.

2.Delegate sales: cold calling & desk research
*Working from the delegate sales brief, identifying key individuals by job title in key named organisations.
*Approaching these individuals by phone and attempting to secure their involvement in our events.
*When in conversation the same goals (above) apply.
*Seeking to build key relationships with relevant department heads and using those relationships to expand our network of contacts
*Recording all calls and notes as above.

3.Networking in person
*Attending our events to network with attendees for the purpose of:
oFurther understanding their motivations and drivers with relation to our events and their responsibilities
oAssisting them with meeting other attendees and helping them to gain value from our events
oEstablishing other interest areas to feed back to the team
oUp selling onto other events
oSecuring referrals for other peers/colleagues of relevance
oBuilding friendly relationships to improve their receptiveness to our communications

We're looking for an experienced sales person who LOVES talking to people on the phone. You will:
*Have an enquiring mind and genuine interest in people/business
*Have excellent written and spoken English
*Have a winning manner that comes across well both on the phone and in person
*Have a proven ability to form relationships with C-level individuals and the right approach to successfully reach them on the phone
*Have strong attention to detail and adherence with processes and systems
*Be a team player and have a can-do attitude
*Be able to self motivate
